A founding member of NZBRASS, Raynor brings two decades on trumpet, cornet, and flugelhorn, including twelve years with the New Zealand Army Band and current roles with Woolston Brass and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.

A founding member of NZBRASS, Jack is a Fulbright scholar and NYU jazz graduate whose trumpet work spans L.A.B, Drax Project, Rob Ruha, the Rodger Fox Big Band, and the New Zealand Army Band.

A founding member of NZBRASS, Pablo is Principal Bass Trombone of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, with a career shaped by the national orchestras of Colombia and studies in Rotterdam under Ben van Dijk.

A founding member of NZBRASS, Joe is a five-time National Bass Trombone Champion, conductor, and Head of Music at Papanui High School, with principal roles across leading bands and orchestras in Aotearoa.

A founding member of NZBRASS, Ryan is a tuba soloist and educator based in North Canterbury, drawing on classical, cinematic, jazz, and funk influences to expand how audiences experience low brass. www.nztuba.com.

NZBRASS is a project-based ensemble, and we rely on a wonderful pool of talented musicians who join us to sub in or perform alongside the group.
We are looking for exceptional performers who can memorise music quickly, work well in a small chamber setting, and bring reliability and professionalism to every call.
All musicians engage with NZBRASS on a contract basis at a standard call rate. From time to time we also perform community-based events on a no-fee basis.
